As we come to the end of another year, I’m reminded to make my yearly blog post to justify keeping this site up. Perhaps someday I’ll get back into the swing of posting regularly, but for now this lone post will have to suffice.
2022 brought us our last baby… Of course we said that the last time. Life is chaotic and a blur most of the time but I’m reminded that these are the sweet years. The years that are so critical to not miss, to not be distracted. To lean in and do the extra, the hard work. To be okay with the messy and not miss the moment. Life is hard sometimes, but we continue to try and focus on what we do have as opposed to what we don’t. We are immensely blessed to be here as a family in this season together.
Togetherness has been a topic for us in 22. Losing family has been a tough pill to swallow even when it it was expected. Losing friendships was even harder when it was unexpected. Mourning… grieving all of those emotions have been a process that has taken us to here, today. Still, I’m grateful for those tough lessons this year. We all are on a journey… and there’s still alot left to be written. What will 23 look like? Well, check back around December 31st and find out.
